Cris Ballesteros is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive leadership and operational expertise, currently serving as the Police Captain for the Department of Defense Police department located in Virginia,With over 10 years of service, he has built a distinguished career defined by dedication to community safety, officer development, and tactical excellence. Cris Ballesteros began his career as a patrol officer, where he quickly advanced to become a Field Training Officer (FTO), shaping the next generation of officers through hands-on mentorship and training. His commitment to officer wellness and public safety led him to become a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officer, where he specialized in de-escalation and critical incident response, as years passed Cris Ballesteros gained more leadership skills and promoted to Police Lieutenant and gained more knowledge in Police administration duties. Cris Ballesteros is currently leader of an Anti-Terrorism Team, Cris Ballesteros directed high-threat operations, developed counter-terrorism strategies, and worked closely with interagency partners to strengthen homeland security initiatives. He further expanded his instructional expertise as a Police Tactics and EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) Instructor, ensuring officers were prepared to operate safely and effectively in high-pressure environments. Recognized for his forward-thinking approach to emerging threats, Cris Ballesteros was appointed as a Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) Commander, overseeing operations to protect critical infrastructure and secure sensitive environments against drone-related threats. Today, as Police Captain,Cris Ballesteros provides strategic oversight of daily operations, supervises multi-unit functions, and ensures the highest standards of professionalism and accountability within his command. His leadership emphasizes integrity, innovation, and service to the community.
